Completely adore her feather headdress and her E.T. pendant (I mentioned to her that I refused to see E.T. at the movies when I was little as I knew it was a sad film! Nothing has changed- I still hate sad movies ;)And I still haven't seen E.T.

Anyone who loves shoes will already know Charlotte Dellal, the gorgeous designer behind the shoe label, Charlotte Olympia. I adore Charlotte's shoes, the "island" platform being her trademark. They are edgy, beautiful and sexy, and I love that she isn't afraid of using BOLD, BOLD colours and fabrics. You don't wear Charlotte's shoes if you don't want to get noticed!

p.s. If you get the chance, take a peek under a Charlotte Olympia shoe....there is a teeny little spiders web on the sole, her signature. Oh yes, and her brand name? Her middle name is Olympia :)

A very quick post before I head into the fashion trenches....I am doing street style photos for British Vogue this fashion week and am beyond excited! Six months ago, when I started photographing street style photos 'seriously', I never imagined that I would have this opportunity (although I might have secretly dreamt about it ;-)). Actually, just getting to step into the hallowed floors of the Vogue offices was amazing- as I sat tightly clutching my portfolio in reception a couple of months ago (trying not to let me knees knock together), Alexandra Shulman strode past: it was rather like being in the presence of a Supreme Court Judge.... exhilarating and awe inspiring! The Vogue team were absolutely lovely....and yes, they really are fabulously dressed ALL THE TIME.
So, wish me luck and if you see me with my camera, come and say hello! I would love to meet you all if you are around this week at LFW. Anyone who has been shot by me knows I love a chat (although my mind went strangely blank yesterday when I was interviewed by a radio station- must practice my answers better ;-)

Today (Monday 23 February 2009) I fulfilled one of my dreams. I got to meet THE most influential fashion and street style blogger in the world. The Master of Street Fashion photography himself: Mr Scott Schuman.....THE SARTORIALIST.Those of you who follow Scott's blog will know what I mean when I say that I almost wet myself when I spotted him outside the Marios Schwab show: my understanding is that Scott rarely (if ever) comes to London Fashion Week. After double checking that it was indeed Scott (with a another photographer who assured me that it was indeed the great man himself), I mustered enough courage to introduce myself and squeak out a few words. And he was lovely, like REALLY lovely. And friendly. And handsome (those eyes!). I asked if I could take his photograph and he graciously allowed me to. And... no, I am not going to publish it :)
Special moment: when The Sartorialist and Face Hunter greeted each other warmly. We like that :)
So tonight as I process my photos sipping a (large) glass of red, I am feeling rather chuffed and a wee bit giddy ;-) And revived. And refreshed. Despite my musings on Saturday that perhaps LFW had lost its lustre, the arrival of The Sartorialist has laid those fears to rest. LFW is back (if it ever went away in the first place!)
